About
Hi! My name is Ashley Berdelis, and I am a Spring 2023 Campus Scholar for the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE). I am investigating how free speech is viewed on TCU’s campus by conducting interviews with students and professors. Articles from these discussions are posted here. If you are interested in being interviewed, please reach out to me via TCU email.
I will also be polling students to see how comfortable they are using their voice in the classroom. I am excited and intrigued by what I will find. If you are a TCU student, please fill out the anonymous survey. Thank you!
The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression's mission is to defend and sustain the individual rights of all Americans to free speech and free thought — the most essential qualities of liberty. FIRE educates Americans about the importance of these inalienable rights, promotes a culture of respect for these rights, and provides the means to preserve them. This project was made possible through the FIRE Campus Scholars Program. To learn more about FIRE, please check out their website here!
